The fruit can be anywhere from 3/4ths of an inch long, all the way up to 3 1/2" inches, and have a bluish-green color. The Pineapple Guava tree is a slow growing evergreen that blooms in late spring, and can attract butterflies and birds. Seed pod forms at the base of the cereus bloom growing from green into a red seed pod. The bloom dries and falls off the end, while the seed pod is still nourished by the cactus. Have since found out, this is a Dragon Fruit! © All rights reserved
