this fireman, on the roof of a burning house up the street from me - this isn't dangerous - it is a hazardous profession - one, which they are trained to do very well - there are always jobs that most of us wouldn't even think of doing - this falls into that category, for me - respect & thankfulness are just two feelings that come to mind for me - these men & women serve & protect us - I don't even know his name, yet there, he and many firefighters were on my street - to save this house - you have my profound thanks for the job you do- for the career path chosen - yet, thanks is such a small word for what you do - © All rights reserved

in the roof ... linked to Another Link in the Chain .. from steaming manhole cover to venting smoke by fireman .. couldn't see it, but sounded like a chain saw .. shortly after it was cut, smoke billowed out .. brown & black .. these men do extremely hazardous work .. we should never take them for granted .. this is just up the street from me .. things look different from this perspective ..
