The Tree of Gold (Tabebuia caraiba).. these trees are planted around lakes, in developments, many varied areas. The golden flowers come first; the petals fall..leaving a carpet of gold beneath the tree while green leaves take their place.

.. at ground level, the perspective is unusual. This potpourri basket is the one Debben (our tuxedo feline) takes some dried rose petals, coriander and spices... he puts them behind the end table.. just because he wants it!
