Historic charm . .

10 Jun 2011 198
this home, built in 1904 by the RIggins family, used to be on Lake Morton, but was moved to this location in 1952 .. known as Mosswood, it is on the corner of Riggins and Mosswood .. checked the Public Library historical photo section .. very interesting .. said the land "under the house was sold", thus the move .. still haven't tracked that down yet .. although do know of other areas in the country where you own your home, but not the land under it... architectural details of these Queen Anne homes have always fascinated me .. but, check out the ceiling of the 2nd story porch .. pure class ! © All rights reserved

the tower of this historic home reminded me of the fairy tale.. which, of course, I looked up in Wikipedia.. had no idea there were so many versions... Being in the historic distirct, this home must be painted colors belonging to the period the home was built. Colorful ancestors ! *update 10 June 2011* This home, built by the Riggins family, was moved since "the land under it was sold". 1 note added top left © All rights reserved For Andy - may the History this home holds give you strength..
