Blue Daze and Perennial Peanut Plant (yellow flowers) were part of our backyard in Florida US when we re-did most of the yard. Bees, butterflies and a hummingbird- once in a while - would stop and get some nectar. Just a slight fragrance, but so calming and beautiful. Taken in Florida - June 2011 Re-posted March 2022

From its humble beginnings in the early 1800s, with its railroad station, 13 saloons, house of "ill repute" and a shipping point for area farmers, Mantua Village was formed and quickly began to grow. A Post Office was established in 1860 and the Village was incorporated in 1898. Our town, named after a famous city in Northern Italy, has continued to grow and mature. It is a beautiful, peaceful village, filled with historic buildings and friendly people who care. Weeping Bottlebrush tree .. Callistemon viminalis Family: Myrtaceae (myrtle Family) .. looked up the description of this gorgeous specimen ... " an explosion of color in Spring.." .. blooms attract hummingbirds .. saw none today, but might be early for their arrival .. will definitely be watching .. this tree was added to the yard during the Yard Make-over .. has bloomed every year, but not as abundantly as this year cropped/framed/signed in: www.picmonkey.com © All Rights Reserved
