The Tree of Gold (Tabebuia caraiba).. these trees are planted around lakes, in developments, many varied areas. The golden flowers come first; the petals fall..leaving a carpet of gold beneath the tree while green leaves take their place.

Taken in 2006 - these hills are forever changed by Hurricane Helene the folks we know are ok but so many yet to be found drones are getting into places helicopters can't these are mountain people they are a tough lot but they admit even this is something never seen Cajun Navy is on-site with so many others #NCSTRONG ! Beautiful Memory
