- Christmas in our new home ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 note added ~~~~~~~~~~~~ - same tree and ornaments - finding the right spot for this to fit - that was a challenge - ornaments are handmade - only exceptions are long ribbons purchased - items from beach.bum walking - created by Nature and on our tree - it has been a tradition since our youngest child - all ornaments had to be unbreakable, therefor they were handmade - now a few / shells and sand dollars don't fit that criteria - but having Nature and gifts from friends hang on a special tree - an enjoyable viewing experience [ there might be an regular ornament or two, but something about them was handmade ] (c) 2013 Christmas

ribbons cascade from the top .. framing ornaments hand-made .. crochet and cross stitch from friends .. origami swans from a soul who is always surprising me with her talents .. antique shade pulls - inherited .. sea shells and sand dollars - found on the Gulf shores and the Atlantic ocean .. walnuts gilded by my hands .. always remember a story written about relatives in Austria when hanging the gilded walnuts ... "The Christmas Anna Angel" - my grandmother and great aunt & family .. love the story .. but, that isn't why this tree doesn't have lights or store bought glitz .. it all started with the first Christmas of our son .. the tree was tied by rope to an anchor in the wall .. all ornaments were hand-made - not only so they weren't breakable, but we couldn't afford to buy them ! thus - a tradition was started ... still no lights .. still hand-made ornaments, even if I don't make them all .. like the feel of this tree .. hope you enjoy it as much as I do ! © All rights reserved Florida US tree ..
