this photo shows the sadness felt when those tall Palms, ever so Stately in the Parking Lot at Southgate Shopping center.. vigilant for ages .. bite the dust for "Progress" .. phone calls to Main Office of Publix Supermarkets were no help -"am sure they will be replaced with more Palms" .. any other phone numbers on signs were also called - basically the same response .. no, the Palms were not replaced .. the dark sky fits ... © All rights reserved

what some call 'progress', others may not .. looking at this saddens me as I see workers demolishing the Publix Supermarket known for many years .. am told it will be "like the other Publix stores in layout" .. guess what ? I could care less ! but, this is one battle not won .. corporate did as it wanted .. © All rights reserved

Publix Supermarket, demolishing part of the store, to make it "better"... guess it is all a matter of opinion. Removing the beautiful, old Palms .. that isn't progress to me. © All rights reserved
