Down the Road at NotMyGarden- This plant is about 4 to 5 ft tall - Have never seen this before - So, can't give you any information about it - All suggestions - help is appreciated. Carpenter bee - no, but no ID yet He was so active on the part of the plant. Walked almost like on egg shells, but would seem attack a certain spot -- causing the flower to bob up and down. Thought he was just a large bee, but not too sure. ID ? (c) All Rights Reserved ** 1 note **

growing from next door .. drooping over bromeliads .. this purple plant seems to have 'paper lantern' shape flowers.. they seem to burst open, scattering seeds .. found in Central Florida / Polk County grows in full sun .. sandy soil ..
