Eastern Tiger Swallowtail [ Papilio glaucus ] ... when flowers began to bloom .. would see one flitting by .. overhead, as if to say 'See you later' .. today, through the Living Room window .. this one stopped .. going from one mound of Creeping Phlox to another .. just when it looked as if it were leaving .. another one showed up ! shall go plant myself outside tomorrow for a good photo of them .. even though their favorite flowers are far from blooming stage .. they are welcome to dine in the Garden Of Surprises .. any day .. © All Rights Reserved -- EXPLORE --

www.arkive.org/little-blue-heron/egretta-caerulea/ - some interesting facts about the Little Blue Heron, but could find nothing to explain the aerial shots of them - although one website said, "they have yellow eyes" - looked back through all Little Blue Heron photos - in set : Wings! Galore - no yellow eyes - this is the 1st time I've seen two this close together - still think it has something to do with nesting - must go back and see if the nest is in a Cypress tree © All Rights Reserved

"Florida is the only state in the U.S. where Limpkins breed. They are thought to be closely related to cranes and can be found year-round throughout Florida except for the western panhandle. When they aren’t searching for apple snails and freshwater clams, Limpkins can often be found sitting on snags or skulking in reed beds close to the water’s edge. They are locally known as the "wailing bird" or "crying bird" due to their loud mournful call, usually issued at night by territorial males. The Limpkin is listed in Florida as a species of special concern due to habitat loss.
