Fossil ?

31 Mar 2009 153
.. shadowy fingers.. dark, crooked.. could it be a fossil, but if so.. of what creature? What would have left such a large imprint? If you make if larger, it looks really creepy! Storytelling at the IMAGINATION STATION © All rights reserved

Fungusaurus Rex .. 'shroom ..

oh, the things you can find. when you go hunting in your own yard! Whatever type of wild mushroom/fungus this is, it popped up overnight! Allmost thought it looked like a catchers glove until I got closer. Then, to me, it became prehistoric... thus its name! Really odd...

Florida is known for bugs... large bugs. Being somewhat tropical, it isn't unusual to yell "hit the dirt" when a CR-747 is spotted (cockroach.. large). Some folks call them "Palmetto bugs"... really don't think the folks living in that town would like to be named after a dinosauer of a bug... but, will have to research that and get back to y'all! This is neither a Palmetto bug nor a CR-747...... just what a Nightblooming Cereus flower looks like when all it's glory is gone. © All rights reserved

Lake Mirror

About 6 or 7 of us gathered at the gazebo to drum; make rhythms; tell stories of what we had been doing since we last saw each other. It was getting late, so when I spotted the 'security vehicle' making its way through Lake Mirror Park thought I'd best go get a few photos before having to leave the city park. The vehicle made its rounds.. not coming where we were playing.. but then, it headed in our direction. Figured we would have to pack up our drums and shakeres...but, the officer in the 'security' vehicle, stopped and listened. She then drove closer and asked about our hand drums.. names, where they came from, etc. She then, turned the 'security' vehicle off; got out and sat beside me as I drummed. It was nice and a surprise for the interest she showed in our eclectic group! Storytelling at the IMAGINATION STATION © All rights reserved
