Oxford House, Derbyshire Street, Bethnal Green. Oxford House was built in 1891-1892 as a "settlement house" in the empoverished community of Bethnal Green, London. Students from Keble College, Oxford University could live at Oxford House while undertaking volunteer work in the area. The students ran youth groups, provided legal assistance, and conducted adult education classes in the building and surrounding area. Oxford House continues to be a community centre though no longer associated with Keble College, Oxford. It is Grade II listed. www.oxfordhouse.org.uk/history

In St George's Gardens, Bloomsbury. St George's Gardens were the first burial ground in London not to be sited next to its church. The Gardens make up the sites of two former burial grounds, those of St George the Martyr of Holborn and St George’s Bloomsbury of Camden. Burials here date to the early 18th century.
