Ceramic Bread Stamp Byzantine, possibly from Constantinople Made 500-900 Inscribed in Greek in reverse: "IC XC NI KA" Accession # 1999.519.17 When pressed into a loaf of uncooked bread, the stamp would have left the mark "Jesus Christ Victorious."
