I found Ogallala, NE, a great place for photos. Here, the shadow of the horse from a motel sign on the road. Pentax K20D, 2013.

So there we are, going for a walk in the beautiful winter sun. It's muddy underfoot and a little chilly, so but good to be out in the sunshine. Across the valley I spot this tree and like the shadow so take a couple of frames. I get home, I try various different processes, not really that happy with the image. Then I suddenly notice the red kite perched on a branch! It is still not a great photo, but I love the serendipity. Pentax Q-S1, 06 zoom.
