Taken amongst the rocks in Prinsted Bay, West Sussex. A PiP in each box of the collage will get you a close up shot, if you're interested. Taken using an Olympus E-M10 MkIII with a 12-50mm F3.5-6.3 lens (set in macro mode).

Beach Abstract (+PiP)

Yesterday started off damp and miserable, but by late morning the sunshine had come out and it was lovely and warm, so we headed off to Bognor Regis in West Sussex. Whilst my wife wandered round the shops, I headed to the beach. The tide had started to go out and the water was leaving some nice shapes in the sand, so I decided to photograph some. Please check out the PiP for another abstract. Thanks for looking!

Allium Seedbeds

I saw a huge patch of Allium seed heads in the gardens of Hinton Ampner House and though they would make a good natural abstract. I hope you agree..............please try viewing large! Thank you.

Just trying something different. Low tide at Emsworth Harbour, Hampshire yesterday afternoon. These are patterns left in the seaweed when the tide receded. Shot looking directly down from the sea wall. There are two more similar images in the PiPs. Thanks for looking and have a splendid weekend.

Natural Abstracts

During a walk in Stansted Park and Forest, West Sussex, I came across a large pile of logs which were in the process of being sawn up. These are close up images of the patterns, textures and shapes in the sawn end of some of the logs. I have increased the contrast and the saturation slightly to make the patterns clearer. I thought they make wonderful natural abstracts. I hope you like them too.

Something a bit different. This is the top of a picnic table in Alice Holt Arboretum. It is directly beneath several Larch trees and is covered by the dead needles that have dropped from them. Please view large, on black. Thank you.
