Part of a small nature reserve in Emsworth, Hampshire. Better viewed large, I think. There's a closer view of the house in the PiP.

Pretty grey and drizzly today, so we went to Emsworth for lunch. Afterwards my wife had a wander round the shops and I visited this pond, which straddles the border between Hampshire and West Sussex. An elderly couple had just finished putting food out for the ducks, so I hung about and grabbed a few photos. The pond is privately owned and was designated a Site of Nature Conservation Importance (SNCI) in 1997. Thirty-odd years ago we nearly bought a house next to this pond, but it was just out of our price range and would be even more so nowadays. Such a shame :-( See the PiP for a close up of the ducks!

As my car is currently off the road sick, I have been restricted in my wanderings, hence I haven't posted any newly taken images lately. As the weather was so nice today (for a change), I decided to take the train to Emsworth and spent an enjoyable couple of hours wandering around the local nature reserve and the mill pond. I'd love to live in one of those houses, but I just need to win the lottery first :-)) Best viewed large, on black. Thank you.
