It has been far too wet and windy lately to try macro photography outdoors, but I found this twig on the ground near my house and took it home to photograph.
There are 3 more images in the PiPs if you want to have a look.
All taken using an LED panel for lighting and a piece of green card as a background.
My thanks to Günter Klaus for giving me the idea to take these photos after seeing his at: www.ipernity.com/doc/guenter.klaus/52324154

Captured on a church wall in Petersfield, Hampshire.
I think I've pretty much caught up on all your photos. My apologies for over use of the yellow stars, but I couldn't possibly have commented on all of them. It seems like everyone has been taking lots of photos over the past week or so................unlike me, as I took very few photos while I was away!
For those who were kind enough to ask..........I had a lovely week with my youngest daughter and my grandchildren. For various reasons we didn't get out much - but that didn't matter :-)

aka Sea Thrift, Sea Cushion and Sea Pink. Taken on Hayling Island. I thought they looked quite good alongside this post with lichen growing on it.

Spotted this unusual lichen on the branch of a tree and thought it was pretty cool!
A quick Google reveals that this one is commonly called "Oakmoss" or less commonly, "Evernia Prunastri". Still more Googling turned up a recipe for "Crispy lichen seasoned with dried egg yolk, lightly smoked fish and soured garlic cream" but I think I'll be giving that a miss!!!
