Some of the dried out grasses on a sand dune on the sea front in Exmouth, Devon. There's a slightly different view in the PiP, if you have time to look.

Some of the the dried out grasses and other plants on the footpath above the beach on Hayling Island. Taken the day before yesterday on the hottest day of the week. Another image in the PiP if you have the time and inclination to have a look :-)

Spotted this in the grounds of an old church close to where Iive. It's nothing special, but I liked the way that nature was slowly taking over the corrugated roof of this old shed. The shed itself is barely standing, but I suspect it has been left because the roof looks like it's made of compressed corrugated asbestos, which means paying a specialist team to come and take it down.

Found growing along the sea wall at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire. This was taken at a very high tide and as you can see, the sea has breached the wall and flooded the footpath.

Clockwise from top left: Verbena, Honeysuckle, Hollyhock, Echinacea. These were all taken during August.

There's a small world thriving on top of this fence post..............taken back in December near the River Meon in Hampshire. Best viewed large, on black. Happy Fence Friday everyone. This is the view from my daughter's first floor flat in Exmouth taken through the double glazing. I find it fascinating and can spend ages just looking through the window. There is always something different to look at.
