We were driving up Portsdown Hill, Hampshire on a busy dual carriageway yesterday afternoon and spotted this tree through a gap in the hedge. I quickly found a safe place to stop, and managed to walk back down the hill without getting myself run over, to take this photo. Luckily, my wife is used to me doing this sort of thing.........and carries a book to give her something to read until I get back to the car! Please view large, if you want. I love the shape and the lush green of the leaves. This was taken on some waste ground a short distance from my house. Best viewed large, on black :-) You might have seen my recent Egret photo ( www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/49921066 ), this was the tree it was perching in.

Taken on some waste land a short walk from my house! I managed to grab a quick shot of it before it spotted me a flew off. This is a large crop as I only had a 40-150mm zoom lens on the camera. Best viewed large............if you feel like it :-)
