The distant headland is the northern coast of Skomer Island, with the small islet of the Garland Stone just to its right. Wooltack Point is the nearer visible headland and I was standing on the hillside above Haven Point, just west of Martin's Haven.

Horizontally bedded Carboniferous Limestone unconformably overlying Silurian greywacke siltstones dipping at about 45° This is at Foredale Quarry just south of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire. Originally uploaded for the Guesswhere UK Group. This is a view of the wave-cut platform and cliffs beneath Constitution Hill, Aberystwyth, Sîr Ceredigion. The wedge-shaped rock stack just left of centre is Craigyfulfran - Cormorant Rock, well named, as coromorants gather there to roost and breed. The rocks are part of the Aberystwyth Grits of Silurian age (Llandovery) and form a well-developed turbidite sequence of dark silty shales alternating with paler sandstones and gritstones.
