Raasay - A walk along the Allt a' Bhràghad to Inver Bay Near the start of the walk is the ruined settlement of Brae. Abandoned possibly as a result of the Clearances (but not sure about this). The Sound of Raasay and the hills of Skye are in the background.

Dunstaffnage Castle near Oban, Scotland, dates back to the 13th century. It is built on a small peninsula with the Firth of Lorne to the west and Loch Etive to the east and north. This is a view northwards showing the southern aspect of the castle keep, built on an outcrop of Devonian age conglomerate (Kerrera Sandstone Formation). Dunstaffnage Castle near Oban, Scotland, dates back to the 13th century. It is built on a small peninsula with the Firth of Lorne to the west and Loch Etive to the east and north. This is a view northwards from the southern parapet, overlooking the central courtyard. The gatehouse is on the right; the gravelled area in the centre with the seat marks the remains of the Great Hall. At the lower left is the well, with its four pillars and protective grille. This is part of the ruins of Greyfriars, the Franciscan Priory at Dunwich, originally founded around 1228, but abandoned a hundred years later due to the advancing sea. It was rebuilt in its present position further inland, but continuing coastal erosion now means that some of the ruins are only a few yards from the cliff edge.
