This old boat, seen on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides has seen better days and looks as if it has been 'Put out to Grass' I have added this today as I too have 'reached the end of the line' as far as my working life is concerned and have just retired. The bridge, built in 1953, links the Isle of Lewis to the Island of Great Bernera (Great Bearnaraigh), one of the islands in Loch Roag. On the day it opened 4000 people gathered to cross it.
