This is Lybster Lighthouse, Lybster, Caithness and taking another photo on the left hand side of the picture is my husband, the light of my life. I decided the only appropriate link is a song called 'You Light Up My Life' by LeAnn Rimes

Kyleakin harbour, Isle of Skye, and the the air seems to crackle with the promise of a storm to come. The light on the water and the clouds combine to add an electric mood and I have added ELO and 'Shine a Little Love' as a link

A storm about to break over Kyleakin harbour and the ruins of Castle Moil (Casteal Maol) on the Isle of Skye.
Fragments of a medieval tower are all that remain. Built in the 15th Century by the MacKinnan family, it is thought it may have been built on the site of an earlier structure. Following the death of James V a meeting of the chiefs was held here and it was decided that Sir Donald MacDonald was to become the new Lord of the Isles
Prior to the building of the Skye Bridge the old ferry used to run from Loch Ailsh to Kyleakin

Dunbar Harbour, East Lothian, nestled at the foot of the Castle Dunbar ruins. In 1567 an Act of Parliament decreed that the castle should be destroyed following the Battle of Carberry Hill. It has been a ruin ever since then.
As a nod to the history of the castle I have added 'War (No More Trouble) performed here by Playing for Change

Robert Wilson's Propeller, Dunbar Harbour. The son of a fisherman, Robert Wilson from Dunbar left school at nine years old. He went on to invent, among other things, a type of screw propeller which he demonstrated in 1827. The patent however was awarded to another inventor in 1836.
I have added the song 'It's My Turn' by Aretha Franklin who sadly died today.

As a second tribute I have added 'Respect' as my own mark of respect to this great singer, and also for the young boy who had little in the way of education but is still recognised today for his achievements

End of the day and the boats have returned to Burnmouth Harbour. Fishermen's cottages at Partinghall, now mostly holiday lets, hug the cliffs in the background. Rusty chains secure the gap in the fence.
I have added 'Chain' by Fleetwood Mac as my link. The song starts with the words 'Listen to the wind blow' and the little boat on the left is called 'Headwind'

Tobermory, Isle of Mull.
Tobermory was the location for the children's tv show Balamory which was screened between 2002-2005, and the brightly painted buildings look as fresh today as they did back then.
I have chosen 'New Coat of Paint' by Joe Bonamassa as the link

Low tide at Watchet harbour and although the winter sunlight warms the scene there is as much mud as water beneath the boats. I have therefore added the link - LP and 'Muddy Waters'

Watchet Marina on a cold winter afternoon. No water but plenty of mud, mud, glorious mud!
Watchet is a very old coastal town which took its name from 'wacet', the blue dye found in the local cliffs. It has an attractive esplanade alongside the marina, and features an excellent statue of Coleridge's Ancient Mariner, from the 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner, part of which was said to have been written here. Watchet forms part of the Coleridge Way, a 51 mile footpath linking sites associated with the poet who lived for a while in nearby Nether Stowey.
