Magnificent birds of prey which are breeding well along the Chilterns escarpment. This crow made the mistake of getting mixed up with a small flock of them before escaping.

High in the Pyrenees I saw this beautiful bird. I believe there are only about 50 breeding pairs in the Pyrenees, so I count myself lucky to have seen one. Here it is dropping a large bone on to some rocks to break it open.

High in the Pyrenees I saw this beautiful bird. I believe there are only about 50 breeding pairs in the Pyrenees, so I count myself lucky to have seen one. Here it has just dropped a bone on to some rocks to break it open.
