Came across this glorious white Merc whilst out cycling in Northallerton. The lady owner was up visiting friends or family in the area and happy for me to take some photos and have a good look at the car, both inside and out. It was a while ago now, but I seem to remember she said that it started out life in South Africa and was brought across to England by the original owner a few years ago. not in mint condition, but very nice nonetheless for those that like their German cars big and well equipped. The Mercedes-Benz SL has been manufactured by Mercedes since 1954. The designation SL derives from the German Sportlich-Leicht , which in English translates as Sport Lightweight . First applied to the 300 SL, the infamous and amazingly beautiful "Gullwing" model, the classification is still in use to this day.

I had so much fun with this week's Sunday Challenge , which had the theme of selective colouring , that I ended up with several possibles. Here's one of those that didn't get used. This is the interior of the little red fire engine I spotted at the Classics On Show event back in 2013.

Externally this Minor was quite stunning, thanks mainly to the shade of red they'd opted for. I liked the interior trimming too, but just felt the carpets let it down a little. Shame, because otherwise it was a gem!

Another interior shot, this time from a pale blue Cadillac. I'm afraid I don't have the full details on this one, but I'm pretty sure it was a late Fifties model.

Here's a peek inside the 'Nitro' pick-up truck. As you can see, it's just as clean on the inside as it is outside!

Love the interior too, especially the chrome webbing across the dash and the lovely stitching on the tuck and roll. This is 8 of 9.

A peak inside the Cadillac ... would love to get the chance to sit behind that wheel!

Makes me want to get behind that wheel, but I'll need to win the lottery first!
