Whilst out looking for interesting doors I could shoot for this week's Sunday Challenge I came across this. It's an old petrol pump, which was apparently manufactured many moons ago by Gilbarco. It has obviously seen better days, but it still caught my eye not least because of the patination. This image was produced from combining 3 bracketed RAW files and processed in Photomatix. Another nearly ran for the recent Sunday Challenge when the theme was numbers .

This was one that I had earmarked as a possible for a recent Sunday Challenge when the theme was metallic . It's the filler cap on what you might at first glance think was an old classic car, but was actually a Cobra replica known as the Pilgrim Sumo. I liked how the chrome stood out against the blue paintwork plus how the blue sky was captured in reflection, but in the end I used a different shot altogether.

Another detail, this time the filler cap on a rather tasty Stingray!

Loved this old petrol can mounted on a running board.
