Well, sort of ... looks more like rain! Anyway, there's that lovely gold Chevette in the foreground and that beautiful old Ford Zodiac parked alongside.

The Zodiac was an upmarket version of the Zephyr 6, but differed quite considerably from it in various ways including the unique grille (four headlights instead of two), which you can see here.

The jury's out somewhat on this one as the records claim it's an Executive model, but I'm not sure. The Zodiac Mark IV and Executive had four headlights and an uprated 2,994cc V6 engine, both of which this car does have. However, the Executive was an upmarket version of the Zodiac and was distinguishable from other models by name badges on the front and rear, which this car doesn't have. So, like I say the jury's out!

As I said, until recently I thought only Ford produced a Zephyr! Much as I like this, I think if I had the choice I'd opt for the Lincoln.

A friend of mine had one of these in the Eighties ... it was like watching a boat sail down the road!
