Simple, as one of my friends here on ipernity said recently, it's time for another orb. Both the sphere and the background in this one were crafted from some of the shots I took recently of pine cones. Best appreciated full screen, so please hit z if you have time to spare.

For this week's Sunday Challenge , for which the theme is abstract in nature . I spent some time earlier in the week walking around a local wood looking for things to shoot, which is where I collected these freshly dropped pine cones. And although some of the shots I took out and about were okay I eventually decided to create an image in my back garden using the pine cones. Fairly minimal processing on this one overall apart from tweaking the levels and a smidgen of sharpening.
