For all my friends on ipernity that understand such things, HFF to one and all, to everyone else I wish you a pleasant and enjoyable weekend. Apparently, the IMA are poised to publish an update ... let's hope that what they have to say is positive and that it encourages people to step back from the edge and stick with ipernity, at least for a little while longer until we can see more clearly what the future holds for this great site. Another bit of fun based around a shot I took within Brompton Church cemetery itself. I was looking for something I could use at the time for the Sunday Challenge when the theme was pareidolia . As I wandered around, I couldn't help but notice the way the back of the very oldest headstones had been eroded over time with the wind and weather. Such beautiful patterns and colours not to mention this little 'soldier' who'd been frozen in time. Not sure what was getting him all excited, but he was certainly shouting about it to anyone in his vicinity. Done some basic adjustments to bring out the colours of the stone to best effect and added some texturing, but otherwise pretty much how I saw it on the day.

This week gone the topic for the Sunday Challenge was to revisit your favourite challenge . Loads to choose from then, but I eventually opted for pareidolia which was the topic a few weeks back. This tree was spotted in Brompton, Northallerton and although the shot has been edited to create a little more drama the tree itself hasn't been 'photoshopped' as some might think or altered in any way ... it really was an angry tree!

I was going to use this for the recent Sunday Challenge , which had the theme of pareidolia , but unfortunately manipulated images weren't allowed. For this week's Sunday Challenge , which had the theme of pareidolia . Don't worry, I'd never heard of it either, but we've probably all done it at some time as it's basically the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it doesn't actually exist, as in considering the moon to have human features: the so called 'man in the moon'. Like I say, we've all done it at some point, but you try finding one when you need to and it isn't quite so easy. Still, I think I got there in the end with this one. It's actually just a rusty old bracket that had been taken off my wheelbarrow at some point, but not been replaced, and which I spotted lying on the ground. So I laid it at an appropriate angle on a piece of old wood that I also had lying around and 'hey presto' I had my very own timber wolf ... well sort of!
