1954 MG TF Midget - EFB 585

This 'creamy dreamy' MG from 1954 was ultra clean and certainly impressive, but I have to say I'd much rather have any one of the umpteen cool cars that America were producing around the same time. Maybe they're just too classy for me!

Okay, I lied, maybe just one more abstract today. This time it's another orb of sorts. A square crop of the original shot as taken by me can be found in the Notes.

Spotted this little Caddy in the car park. Clean, tidy, understated and riding on a nice set of period G60 steels ... great little truck!

1952 Chevrolet Pick-Up - 842 XUC

You know, the more I see of these old trucks the more I can feel myself warming to them. So much so that if I could afford one I think I'd get one tomorrow!

1967 Bedford CA Van - EJP 174F

27 Feb 2014 4 5 2721
The Bedford CA was a distinctive pug-nosed light commercial vehicle produced between 1952 and 1969 by Vauxhall Motors subsidiary Bedford Vehicles, in Luton, United Kingdom. It was manufactured in short-wheelbase and long-wheelbase forms, each form available in either a 10–12 cwt or a 15 cwt version. Generally it was supplied as a light delivery van with sliding doors, but it was also available as a chassis with cowl upon which specialist bodywork could be added. www.bedford-ca.com

Apologies for the messy background, but it was either that or no photo and I felt it was too nice a car not to share it.

Never expected to find one of these around the corner on a recovery vehicle, but there you go. Stunning example, but not showing for some reason on the DVLA records.

Classics In The Sun

Two of America's finest soaking up the rays! In the foreground an unmistakable 1959 Cadillac and behind that a 1949 Buick Roadmaster. Bliss! Until recently I thought the Caddy was an Eldorado model, but thanks to 1971 Dodge Charger R/T Freak I now know it to be a Series 62 model, which has different trim: thanks DC . Also, having done some more research I found this great little online comparison, which some of you might find of interest ... www.1959eldorado.com/compare.asp The page I've linked to goes into some detail what the differences are, but the guy's website overall is a little online gem!
