Another beautiful Mk2 Golf as seen at VW North West 2011 .
Can't confirm the precise year for this one as official records now show the registration assigned to a Vauxhall Combo van, but the plate at the time would suggest it was either 1987 or 1988.
Hope the car is still around though as it was an absolute stunner.

Off and running then ... time to start another album and this time one that hasn't been featured on flickr.
Staged on the outskirts of Stokesley, North Yorkshire, Classics On Show 2013 was an interesting and diverse event as I hope my photos will show.
First to be uploaded is this very tidy looking Austin Mini,

Found this rather tired 'ratty' Mk2 Jetta in the car park ... basically a Golf with a boot stuck on.
Sadly, this one can't now be found on the DVLA site so it may have be lost to that great car park in the sky!

Another spotted in Northallerton. Turns out the guy who owns this old car was just in the process of selling/swapping it for another Nova, but this time a hatchback model from the same era.
I now have photos of that one too and will post them when I get the chance.

1 of only 500 produced, the Calibre was based around the Cavalier Mk2 and it's believed there are only around 30 left on the road today.
One of the reasons so few may have survived is that like any bodykitted car (remember I have a Scirocco) they can rot like anything ... it's often a case of out ofsight out of mind until it's too late!

The Probe was a sports coupe produced by Ford, introduced in the Eighties to replace the Ford EXP as the company's sport compact car.
