Notation: Interestingly, most if not all of the First Nations folks who were part of the show at the Winnipeg Stampede were from Alberta. The organiser, Guy Weadick recruited them because they had done such a great job at his stampede in Calgary in 1912.

The man on the steps appears in many of the other photos and must be the travelling companion of the photographer. An aboriginal woman and two of her children are on the platform behind him. Clark was a photographer and reasonably prolific postcard publisher, publishing lithographic images of his photos as early as 1906. His postcard images were primarily of scenes in the Rocky Mountains but he also captured scenes in Manitoba & Northwestern Ontario. At some point in his career, he took an impressive set of photographs of first nations people. This one, entitled "Miskoopenaises, Squaw, Chippewa Indians", was #5 in a series.
