Nikon D2Xs + Tokina SD 50-135mm f/2.8 DX AT-X Pro lens. Processed until it began to look like a moody lith print. Probably a Xerox could have produced similar but they take up so much space in your living room.

This is a selective enlargement of a photograph I took in Lyme Regis during August, 2014, using a Nikon D2Xs and a Tokina SD 50-135mm f/2.8 DX AT-X Pro lens. Fidelity is much diminished because it is copied from a computer screen, with the camera white balance set to 'cloudy'. For this second image I used a Nikon D700 and a Nikkor-O.C 35mm f/2 lens, which kept contrast levels useful. The original photograph had to be rescued with software because I had failed to account for backlighting in the exposure: I should have added at least one-and-a-half stops. Thus this picture has very inauspicious history and maltreatment.
I don't know who the holidaymakers are. I only really noticed the possibilities of this picture when casually reviewing a large number of images I made during that break. This one became more interesting every time it was cropped a bit further. All very random, I'm afraid. Yet possibly 'arty'.
