That stand/display would look super in my living room. I wish I could find one. :D

I can only guess at the correct decade/year for this. I had some fun searching for logos to match this one exactly, but I didn't have any luck. Three sections of a promotional fold-out.

"You Can Wear Any Color (3)," 1955

"'...One last thought: Nature is not infallible. Your natural hair color may not be the perfect color for you, and so study yourself and then, if you honestly believe it is responsible for inhibiting you in your personal use of color, by all means change it. And you may find you have also changed your entire outlook on life!...'"

"...In a message to Everywoman's, Elizabeth Arden, who has made a lifelong career of beauty says: 'As sensitive as we are to color around us, so few of us are adventurous about color in our own fashions and makeup... I cannot stress enough how much just a different shade of eye make-up can do in achieving this for you...'"

"How often have you heard statements like these: 'I look ghastly in yellow'...or "Blue is the only color I can wear'... or 'I can wear any color, so long as it's green'? Well, we believe you can wear any color-- any of the six lovely fall colors we show on our suits-to-sew, plus many, many more..." A plug for Simplicity Patterns, from the September issue of Everywoman's magazine. (Sorry for the blurry images. Most of this magazine was printed slightly off register.)

"Vegetable Patch Hats," 1954

"Photographer: Edward Jacobsen Hat designs: Dorothea Zack Hanie Earrings and bug-pins: Coro Lipstick: Hazel Bishop Shirts: Lady Manhattan" At all times, the model looks like she's waiting for somebody to shout, "April Fool!" Maybe that's why her name doesn't appear in the credits.

At least they resisted the urge to have a bunch of disembodied lady-heads tumbling around in a big wooden salad bowl. :/ From the April issue.

"HATched from a COLLAR", 1954

It's more than stellar style that pinches pennies, it's-- HAT HAIKU! (Well, almost.) From the April issue of Everywoman's magazine.

Pattern Ads, 1953

Each pattern will run you a mere thirty cents, which leaves plenty of money for girdles, gloves, and really big buttons. From the July issue of Family Circle magazine.

B&W Ads, 1953

The Fleet Team (upper L) bombarded the back pages of this issue with multiple ads. All of them had different graphics and a different baked good "guesting" on the box. I don't think the brand has survived, but give them points for trying, at least. Sno-White (lower L) was made by the Crown Colony folks. Finally, on the right, we have fashions for the Clone Sisters. Even Miss "fuller figure" looks to have about a 7" waist. From the August issue of Family Circle magazine.

Everywoman's, 1957

It's a toss-up as to who looks more uncomfortable here. But at least nobody made them dye their hair to match. From the September issue.

B&W Ads, 1950s

This year, it's decided. I WILL wear white shoes into Fall if I want to. Along with epically huge sundress collars, black olive earrings, and chains made of miniaturized fresh produce. And if that killjoy Miss Manners doesn't like it, she can kiss my big butt! Clipped from: Left: The July 1953 issue of Family Circle magazine. Upper Right: The August 1952 issue of Sunset magazine. Lower Right: The August 1955 issue of Everywoman's magazine.

Doll Wardrobe (7), 1964

"The more elegant the fabric, the more a little girl's eyes will gleam when she dresses her doll for a formal occasion. We combined a metallic fabric and a rich rayon satin but scraps in any luxurious texture or color would be suitable: velveteen, lace, moire, taffetta, for example." "Cluny the teen fashion doll" must have her gown. So now's the time to make a gold satin bib apron for yourself, Mrs. America! All the other girls' moms are doing it!
