Turn To Sandwiches, 1957

19 Dec 2021 146
I opened this magazine-sized, 20-page promo hoping to see a bread fairy. The toast-your-own-canapes-at-the-table arrangement is adorable.

"...the art of dining, of entertaining and of old time hospitality-- preceded and accompanied by genuine, matured liquors..." And buttered toast. Lots and lots of buttered toast.

Festive Snacks & Canapes (2), 1967

"Many gatherings start with drinks and snacks and go right into the roast or casserole, continue with a salad and end with dessert and coffee..." Who else has had the "Magic Fish" vision after one too many aperitifs? Okay, fine. It's just me. :o
