I'm mystified by the "Chocolate Chip Refrigerator Pie." I mean, I've always been dubious about American-style meringue anyway, but here they don't even instruct Mrs. America to bake it first. She just slathers on the aerated, room-temperature egg white and to the table it goes!

Okay, these look good to me. I love meringues, and the "brownies" are technically Blondies because there's no chocolate involved... but who cares?
