Not much in the way of knee room. I don't think I'd want to dine and drink sidesaddle. Better to just emulate the Japanese, get a cushion onto the floor and kneel instead.

I swear I glimpsed this wallpaper, or something similar, in my bedroom once while prepping the walls for a fresh coat of paint. Except mine also had giant pink (formerly red?) bows. Scary.
