Keswick, Glenkiln, Scotland Photo the artist" Sorry for the distortion at left. This is a thick, heavy book. Not easy to press flat on the scanner. But I really wanted this photo online, because it's an unusual view. There's something special about seeing what the sculptor himself wanted us to see when he arranged a picture. The Tate's website has lots more to see and learn for anyone who's interested.

The forks are all chattering about how they prefer Minimalism and find representation in art to be trite and played out. From the November issue of McCall's magazine.

No handwriting or postmarks on the back. I've guessed at the time period, based on other, similar cards I've seen on other sites. Text says only: "Union Postale Universelle, Post Card, Made In China." Enlarged to show detail.

After collecting his pay for this picture, Harry went wild buying a can of beans and a new pair of socks, before returning to his 4th-floor walk-up in Newark.

No date or stamp on the back. Someone started to fill it out, but I guess they decided to keep it. I can't really blame them. It's a great image. (Shown slightly larger than original size.)

"Use Only Brush and Water and Watch the Colors Appear. Whitman Publishing Company, Racine, Wisconsin." Hey, I remember these! They were still around in the 1970s. (And I've never heard of this artist before, but she definitely knew her cats!)
