The source for the altered young woman is probably Antiques magazine: "A magnificent Pastel Portrait of Miss Mary Blair, aged 12 or 13. Signed and dated 1793. Probably one of the best pastels ever executed by John Russell…”
Hope your new week is good! <3

A whole lot of rules broken here. Not the least of which is, "Don't put blurred things in front of sharp backgrounds." Oh, well.

See how you got me spinning
Going round and round
And I don't want to stop..."

I got obsessed with using as many different Blending functions for that same old 1940s brocade as I possibly could. (I think the final count was four.)

A Montgomery Ward catalog from 1943 provided both the humans and the leaf print. It was an incredible, but unwieldy, junk shop find several years ago.

In the sun standing in the tide?

Two different layers were cut in half to make "Quad" images, then run through "Artistic: Fresco." One was flipped over, then both were placed over the original layer at medium to high opacity. There's also some pink and green "spray paint" in dissolve mode. Leaves were copied using Free Transform. Other miscellaneous changes.
