When I was a kid I loved these machines, as the gumballs sold here, were the very best for bubblegum bubbles. Unfortunately my parents neither liked bubblegum nor these vending machines...
Though chewing gum is still popular, these vending machines are only rarely seen meanwhile.

When I was a kid I loved these machines, as the gumballs sold here, were the very best for bubblegum bubbles. Unfortunately my parents neither liked bubblegum nor these vending machines...
Though chewing gum is still popular, these vending machines are only rarely seen meanwhile.
This vending machine is located near the entrance of a funeral parlor. After a long marketing research the chewing gum company opted for this place. I have no idea why.

Linz am Rhein is a town with a population of about 6000, but obvioulsy hit by the rural exodus and the change in customer behavior. The fierce competition with supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl leaves its marks in the town center.
