Since the church was threatened with collapse and buttresses were added, this sculpture is no longer complete. It is a well-known motif that can be found along the Way of St. James. A man on horseback rides over a man on the ground. This may represent Emperor Constantine or "Santiago Matamoros", the Moor-slayer.
