Eas a' Chual Aluinn, seen in the backdrop, is the tallest waterfall in the United Kingdom with a sheer drop of 200 m. We took a boat-trip from Kylesku to Loch Beag, from where the waterfall is visible.

Kylesku Bridge

The Kylesku Bridge spans the Caolas Cumhann, a narrow constriction at the head of the Loch a’ Chàirn Bhàin, which separates Loch Glendhu and Loch Glencoul, between the hamlets of Kylesku in the southeast and Kylestrome. A ferry service had existed here since the early 19th century, initially using rowing boats. The first preparatory construction work here began in 1978. The Kylesku Bridge was completed in 1984 and was ceremonially opened to traffic by Queen Elizabeth II on 8 August of the same year.
