Cognac is the home of the world reknown French brandy, named after the town. Martell, Rémy Martin, Hennessy, Courvoisier, Camus and many other Cognacs are produced here. In summer the town hosts, supported by hundreds of volunteers, the "Fête Du Cognac", a festival combining food, drinks - and music. One of the many food stalls on the festival grounds even offered oysters!
