Berzy-le-Sec is a small village just south of Soisson. The parish church Saint-Quentin neighbours the ruined "Château de Berzy-le-Sec". The well maintained and restored Romanesque church, erected within the 12th century, was already two centuries old, when the construction of the castle started.
