The Fernworthy Circle (aka Froggymead), is located in a clearing in Fernworthy Forest in Dartmoor.
The 27 stones made of grey granite form a circle with a diameter of 19.2 m. The stones vary in height. In the south, where the tallest are, they are about 1.1 m high. The circle was excavated by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee in 1897 who reported a layer of charcoal within the circle but no other finds.
Fragmentary double rows of low stones form avenues that run north and south, with no clear connection to the circle.
