The Antequera Dolmens Site is an ensemble comprising the Dolmen of Menga, the Dolmen of Viera and the Tholos of El Romeral. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 2016 and has a museum, where artefacts excavetd here are exhibited. The Dolmen de Menga is only about 90m apart of the Dolmen de Viera The tumulus of the dolmen has a diameter of about 50 meters and is over 4 meters high. A corridor, which is oriented to the northeast leads into a large, almost semicircular room divided by three central supporting pillars. There are no annex rooms. The megalithic structure covered by the hill is made up of 31 precisely hewn and almost seamlessly joined blocks with a total weight of around 1600 tons. The largest ceiling slabs weigh around 180 tons. The total length of the underground structure is 27.50 meters. The height increases inwards from 2.70 meters at the entrance to 3.50 meters at the southwestern endstone.
