Palazuelos is a village about 7 km northwest Sigüenza. The village has a medieval urban structure that still remains within the walls of the 15th-century fortified complex. The walls completely surround the village and stretch for just over a kilometer. They are built of strong mortar and blocks. Three of the four gates that provide access are double portals reinforced by cubes. The "Hermitage of Solitude" is just a kilometer out of Palazuelos.
