KAROLINE

Cologne is the fourth-largest city in Germany - and one of the oldest. A Germanic tribe, the Ubii, had a settlement here, this was named by the Romans "Oppidum Ubiorum". In 50 AD, the Romans founded "Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium", the city then became the provincial capital of "Germania Inferior". Karoline was so hurt after the mean guy had left her for another girl. She felt left and lonely, She oinly wanted to forget this pain. She did not want to see his name anymore, anywhere. She just had to do that.

Cologne - Zwirnerstrasse

Cologne is the fourth-largest city in Germany - and one of the oldest. A Germanic tribe, the Ubii, had a settlement here, this was named by the Romans "Oppidum Ubiorum". In 50 AD, the Romans founded "Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium", the city then became the provincial capital of "Germania Inferior". The Zwirnerstrasse, located in the "Suedstadt" near the former Stollwerck factory, never had these prestigious posh buildings that line the ring-boulevards. Here modest clerks lived with their families in the early years of the 20th century. Some houses survived the 262 separate air raids, conducted on Cologne during WWII (eg "Operation Millenium"). This one is well restored and has nicely adorned facade.
