During three warm long summer nights, the festival "La Fête du Cognac" perfectly combines local food, lovely wines, cognacs (!) and interesting music. Thanks to about 450 volunteers this is a great place to have a good time together with many locals. The last two years I "steak frites" here. As "real" knives are not allowed for security reasons, I had to cut the meat with a small piece of plywood, that had the form of a knife. I had no success. In 2018 came the solution! The hungry people queue for a "brochette" ("meat skewer"), so there is no knife necessery.
