The hotel "Arc en Ciel" is located near to the beach and has this fantastic breakfast room from the late 19th century, when wealthy tourists from Paris came to Les Sables-d’Olonne for the summer holidays.

Les Sables-d’Olonne (= "the sands of Olonne") has indeed an endless sandy beach. I have never been a "beachcomber", but this year found it very enjoyable to lounge in a cosy arm chair of a beach bar - and have a beer. And of course watch the people having fun.
